KLDA committee and Secretariat yesterday convened a meeting with the Chief Officer for Water and sewerage from the Nairobi City County Government to address the perennial water issues faced within Karen Ward.
During the meeting, KLDA presented the preliminary analysis results of the ongoing Water Survey which included feedback from over 2000 residents, gathered through door-to-door visits and online submissions.
A follow-up meeting has been scheduled with officials from Nairobi City Water Company, County Assembly and Nairobi City County, during which KLDA will share the data collected during the Water Survey.
This survey represents the first-ever door-to-door initiative aimed at resolving the water challenges in Karen Ward.
Equitable distribution of water is a mandatory and constitutional right.
