KLDA actively works to present the views of residents to a range of institutions and to the general public.
Papers and submissions to official bodies such on issues such as city restructuring, revision of the Local Physical Development Plan and specific complaints and suggestions. These are being posted in our 'resources' section'.
KLDA takes legal action when dialogue has been exhausted. The most recent example is a case taken to the national Environment Tribunal regarding the environmental aspects of the proposed 'Karen Central' development. The 'rates case' against CCN was a landmark action that brought KLDA to national prominence.
KLDA is a founder member of and is represented on the Governing Council of the Kenya Association of Resident's Associations (KARA). KLDA is also represented on the National Physical Planning Liaison Committee; an appeals body set up under the Physical Planning Act.
